What do Phi Sigma Sigma's Fraternity dues cover?

Fraternity dues cover the cost of programs like Vision, Reflections
and Chapter Excellence. Dues also cover the costs of national extension
initiatives, administrative costs related to Headquarters and volunteer
alumnae support.

What are local dues and how do they differ
from Fraternity dues?

Phi Sigma Sigma chapters enjoy considerable autonomy, including the
freedom to formulate a chapter budget. Local dues may cover expenses
for the chapter's social and philanthropic programs, recruitment,
IFC or Panhellenic dues, alumnae events, and local meetings or workshops
such as regional conference and Founders' Day celebrations.

What are the benefits of joining an international
sorority?

Phi Sigma Sigma belongs to the National Panhellenic Conference (npcwomen.org), an umbrella organization for 26 national and international women's fraternities and sororities. Members are represented on over 630 college and university campuses in the United States and Canada and in over 5,300 alumnae associations, comprising over 3 million sorority women in the world. Member groups work jointly to offer women opportunities for valuable social interaction during and beyond their college years, and sponsor programs on academic excellence, shared values, health, and other issues of importance to women.
Membership in an international sorority like Phi Sigma Sigma is supported
through a system of resources. This includes support from staff at
Headquarters as well as dedicated advisors and alumnae volunteers
who assist sisters with academics and personal challenges, national
programs and chapter administrative functions. After graduation, local
alumnae groups ensure that wherever a Phi Sigma Sigma moves she will
have a network of sisters to rely on.

What makes Phi Sigma Sigma unique?

Each of our chapters establishes a judicial board to govern membership.
While chapter judicial boards are required to follow our Fraternity
policies and recommendations, and campus rules and regulations, each
chapter judicial board functions independently, with support and assistance
from our national personnel. We believe this distinct feature encourages
our women to make decisions together and individually, which in turn
fosters additional personal growth.
We welcome women of all religious backgrounds, cultural beliefs and traditions. No member of Phi Sigma Sigma will ever have to feel uncomfortable participating in our rituals because they are non-sectarian, which encourages our members to embrace the unique qualities of each sister.
Our programming centers on Phi Sigma Sigma's core values. This concept guides members toward greater academic, personal, and professional growth and development during the collegiate years and as alumnae.
